Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented NIGHT Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to utilize GPS and computer technologies effectively.

2 YEARS TRANSPORTATION / TRUCKING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!

• The candidate will communicate nightly via phone, email, QC messaging, and face-to-face with drivers, customers, and across all departments.
• The candidate will need to perform nightly track and trace on all trucks to ensure that on-time pickups and deliveries are met for customers. They will then advise customers and operations of any potential issues that arise.
• Other duties will include but are not limited to, updating loads, accepting changes of freight within websites as needed, and making any necessary planning adjustments during the night shift.
• The candidate will assess all breakdown calls to assist with the repair or escalate to the breakdown department for more extensive needs.
• The candidate will assist drivers with any questions they may have regarding their hours of service and ELD or escalate matters to the safety department for any emergencies.
• The goal is to enable Operations across all shifts to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information between all departments, drivers, & customers.

• Applicants must be able to remain calm and composed, especially under pressure, and be able to work well with others.’

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,050.00 per week
