PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients.
- Directs and assists patients in exercise, muscle re-education, and gait training.
- Instruct patients in proper care and use of support and exercise programs.
- Prepares written documentation as directed by the therapist.
- Charts and reports on patients’ progress.
- Performs clerical duties such as answering calls and scheduling patients.
- Maintains department policies, procedures, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control.
- Educates patients in proper care and use of support and exercise programs.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy Assistants or Occupational Therapy Assistants is required.
- State of Georgia Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
- CPR certification.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
