PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients.
• Directs and assists patients in exercise, muscle re-education, and gait training.
• Instruct patients in proper care and use of support and exercise programs.
• Prepares written documentation as directed by the therapist.
• Charts and reports on patients’ progress.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering calls and scheduling patients.
• Maintains department policies, procedures, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control.
• Educates patients in proper care and use of support and exercise programs.
• Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Dedication – Strives to make the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those served top priority.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy Assistants or Occupational Therapy Assistants is required.
• State of Georgia Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• CPR certification.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
